Who Installs the Alarms?
The alarms are installed by our own Professioanl Technicians who are also Police Approved Registered Alarm Installers .
Will the Alarm Installers do an excellent job?
The alarm installers have years of experience installing alarms in every type of home or business. In general, all the cabling is hidden, normally in the ceiling space and down through the inside of the wall. Cables are run neatly through the ceiling space and clipped and stapled around areas where people are regularly crawling. The components are fitted perpendicular and in a balanced aesthetic way from room to room. The walls, ceilings and floors are left un-marked and clean.
Is the Safegard Alarm guaranteed?
Our Safegard Alarm systems are guaranteed against defects in materials and or workmanship under normal use. There is a 5 year guarantee on parts and labor for all of the components except the batteries and remotes. The back-up battery and wireless remotes are guaranteed for 2 years. If any part therof proves to be defective within the warranty period, such defective part will be repaired, or replaced free of charge including labor by Safegard Alarms Ltd.
Can I customize my Safegard alarm?
We can customize your new alarm to meet your individual requirements. e.g siren run time, entry and exit time, extra entry time from garage, chime mode, partial arming, partitioning of alarm, night mode, alarm set indicator lights etc etc
Will my alarm false alarm?
We guarantee that your alarm will not false alarm. If it does out technicians will come out free of charge and fix the problem.
Wireless or Hardwired Sensors?
For most homes and businesses, the alarm system can be hardwired - and this is the preferred option because hardwired sensors do not need the batteries changed. However, if wiring is not possible, wireless sensors are the next best. Wireless equipment costs more than hardwired.
Will my Safegard Alarm ignore pets?
The standard sensors that come with the Core Safegard Alarm are pet immune up to 25kg. If your pet is larger than this we have Dog Ignore sensors up to 45kg.
Can I add to my alarm?
Your alarm can have up top 8 zones as standard and this can be extended to 16 or more for a business.
Smoke detectors attached to your security system are great as they can be monitored at no extra charge and we will respond whether you are home or not and send out a fire engine if no reply from your home.
Remotes are great for convenience so that you can set or unset your alarm without having to run to and from the keypad.
Is there a Panic Button?
There are panic Buttons on the keypad for Police, Medical and Fire. On the wireless remotes there is also a Panic Button.
You can also add a fixed Panic Button on the wall.
